Target.com Diaper Deal

Thanks to my friend Rhonda who let me know about this deal! So if you didn't have the coupons necessary to get the great Huggies Deal at Walgreens, here's another option for you!

This deal is for Target Up and Up diapers. At Target.com, you can find these diapers for $6.49 when you buy 4. By purchasing 4, you'll save 15% and get free shipping automatically. Use promo code URTYJLI8 at checkout and save an additional 10%. Final price for an order that will ship to Logan will be $20.39 after tax. At least for the size 6 diapers, this isn't quite as good as the Huggies Deal at Walgreens, but close, and a REALLY good deal if you don't have coupons. Not to mention you don't have to go to the store and can do the order from home!

Reviews on the Up and Up diapers seem positive! If you get them or have tried them, leave a comment to let us know how good they are.

Look what I got in the mail today!

A few weeks ago I found out about a free Crest 3D White Smile Sample Kit from Hip2Save. I totally forgot about it until I got it in the mail today! The samples aren't just little travel sizes - they're big! I can't wait to try it. Maybe I should post a before and after photo of my teeth to see if it really works! :-)

It's eventually my goal to start posting freebies like this when I find them. I love to get freebies in the mail! But right now, I'm just a little overwhelmed with training for a marathon, working, and this blog. Of course, if anyone want to take responsibility for finding samples and posting them, let me know. I'd love to have a co-author on the blog!

Make sure you go to bed early tonight because Kohl's is having an early bird sale tomorrow morning! The online sale starts at 1 am and goes to 4 pm, or you can shop in-store from 7 am to 1 pm! You can view their early bird specials now here. I'm exhausted from such a busy week, so I probably won't be making this sale. But leave a comment to let me know what you find!

The Pull-Ups Do the Potty Dance House Party!

A few months ago I happened upon a website called House Party. Basically, they market products for companies by having consumers host house parties to get the word out about the companies' products. I signed up for a few parties, and I've been selected to host a house party!

The party I was chosen for is The Pull-Ups Potty Dance House Party. I'm planning on hosting my party on April 17th (after the tax season is over) at 4:00 pm. We'll learn tips and tricks for how we can potty train our youngsters, and there will be all sorts of free potty training swag given away!

So if you have a toddler who's in training, or if you're thinking of potty training your child, email me at cashincache@gmail.com or leave a comment letting me know your email address and if April 17th at 4 pm is a good day and time for you! If it's overwhelmingly a bad day for most people, then I'll schedule it for a different time!

Walgreens: Huggies Wipes, Diapers, & Pepsi

Huggies wipes could be just $1.00 at Walgreens! Check out KCL to see how. I haven't verified if this will work at our Walgreens, so call first! You can view the coupon flier here.

Don't forget about the great diaper deal! I really do think I have enough diapers now to get us to potty training!

Plus the Pepsi sale is still going on this week!

You can also get 2 Hershey's Chocolate Bars and a coupon for a free bag of Hershey's Pieces! Check out Hip2Save to learn how! I'm so excited about this. I purchase some chocolate bars just because they were a good deal, I still have a candy bar left, so I'm going to eat it tomorrow and sent in for the coupon!

Star Wars Rebate!

Here's a fun little rebate for the kiddies! Check it out at Hip2Save!

Also, the Star Wars Captain Rex Electronic Command Helmet was on sale at Kohls.com for just $19.99! I believe it's now sold out, but it could be available at the store! Might want to check it out. Buy now, then save the gifts for Christmas or a birthday!

Staples: $1 items, including a ream of PAPER!

I am growing to love Staples! Here are some of their $1 dealt this week! Items are limited to 2 per household. I'm so excited about the paper! I go through it so fast now that I print so many coupons. I saw this deal a few weeks ago, too, so I'm thinking they might do it frequently!

Also, this week you can print a coupon for an additional 15% off! That will make the paper reams just $0.25! WOW, that's HOT!

Crazy Week for Me!

Hi Friends! So sorry I haven't been posting this week, but I've been so busy! I have a new job at Jackson Hewitt Tax Service. This week and next week, I'm working 40+ hours a week, and in between I'm finding great deals and printing coupons late at night and playing with my kids during the day. Oh, and running on a treadmill, since I'm also currently training for a marathon (check out my blog about that here!).

Take it to the Jackson Hewitt Tax Service office across the street from McDonalds on the south side of Logan, or to the Jackson Hewitt office located at the front of the Walmart store on the north side of Logan. They'll even prepare your taxes while you shop!

UPDATE: Olay Regenerist Rebate & Pepsi/Tostitos Rebate

The Walmart on the South end of town still has Regenerist cleansers priced at $5.97! Check out how to make money by submitting a rebate here!

Also, I think I got the last two bags of Tostitos tonight at Walgreens (unless they had more in the back). So you can still submit the Coors Light rebate (no beer purchase required), but you'll have to buy Tostitos somewhere else, or you can buy any of the other products listed on the rebate form. If you want to get the $10 Register Reward, you can purchase $20 of Pepsi, Doritos, Lays, Gatorade, or any of the other items listed in their ad! So even if you choose not to submit for the $7.50 rebate, you can still get basically 50% off an already good sales price! I actually went back tonight to get more Pepsi & chips because you really can't buy 5 12 packs of Pepsi and 2 bags of chips for $10 anywhere else! If you're not a caffeine drinker, they did have a few packs of caffeine free left!

Walgreens: Pepsi Deal Update

I found out today that Doritos are NOT a part of the Coors Light rebate, so make sure you only buy Tostitos or Tostitos Dip with your Pepsi purchase at Walgreens! Make sure you read the fine print. If you've already submitted your rebate (like I did!), they'll send you a postcard saying you didn't meet the requirements and give you instructions on how to fix it.

Free Kids Crafts for Valentine's Day!

Look what I just found on PinchingYourPennies! Free crafts for kids for Valentines Day!

Check out the link, and prnt off some goodies for your kiddies for V-day! Cute!

Olay Regenerist Money Maker

UPDATE: I couldn't find any of the Olay Regenerist products for $5.99 at Walmart!

Since turning 30 years old recently, I've noticed I look, well, 30 years old! I see little wrinkles on my face now! That's why I'm excited about this deal!

Right now, Olay has a $15 rebate available when you purchase 2 Olay Regenerist Facial Moisturizers, Facial Treatments, and/or Facial Cleansers by January 24!

You can turn this into a money maker at Walgreens or Walmart! Here's how:

Walgreens:
Buy 2 Olay Regenerist Cleansers (should be marked $7.29 each)
Use 2 $3/1 Olay Regenerist or Definity Facial Moisturizer or Facial Cleanser, any except trial size from the 1/17 PG ad
Pay $8.58 out of pocket
Then submit for the $15 rebate!
Final Price after Rebate: $6 overage!
(Thanks, PYP!)

Walmart:
Buy 2 Olay Regenerist Cleanser products for $5.99 each
Use 2 $3/1 coupons from the 1/17 PG
Pay $5.98
Then submit for the $15 rebate!
Final Price after Rebate: $9 overage!
(Thanks, Hip2Save!)

Smiths Week of January 20

Check out KrazyCouponLady for this weeks deals at Smiths. But unless this is your regular store for grocery shopping, I wouldn't make any special trips this week, since there are no screaming deals. Unless you want to go check out the clearance and mark-down items like I did last week!

Macey Deals Week of January 20: Free Hunts Tomato Sauce!

Check out KrazyCouponLady for this weeks deals at Maceys!

My favorite deals:

(This one isn't posted on the KCL site):

Use the $1/5 coupon from 1/10 Sunday newspaper
OR Play Recession Payback to print off $0.50/2

There's also a General Mills coupon in the Macey's Ad, so you can mix and match to get $5.00 of your total when you purchase 10 items. That's $0.50 per item, and can help you score the following FREE or really inexpensive items! Remember, this coupon will only deduct $5.00, even if you buy 20 items. To maximize your value, do separate transactions and use the coupon multiple times, using only 10 items per time. Be sure to check out KrazyCouponLady to see all the coupon matchups!

Betty Crocker Helpers: as low as $0.55
Betty Crocker Specialty Potatoes: FREE!

FREE Photobooks!

Check this out! You can score FREE photobooks and FREE shipping! Not only that, you can get one FREE photobook per month! Just go to Hotprints.com to learn how!

I'm definitely NOT a scrapbooker, and I rarely even print off my photos. So this will be a great way for me to create a memory album for my family. I'm planning on going back to 2006 when my first little girl was born, and starting there to play catch up!

The reviews I've read about these are very positive. I guess they just include advertisements in the box with your book (not anywhere in the book itself, don't worry!), so that's how they can make it FREE!

Have you used Hotprints before? If so, what did you think?

I'll let you know how my first book turns out (if I ever find time to make it)!

Smiths Managers Specials & Closeouts

So yesterday I was in Smiths and I decided to check out their shopping carts that are loaded with food towards the back of the store. These usually have items in them that are marked down by 50% or more. I got a few nice deals! Always look in these carts to see if you have anything you can pair with a coupon to make an extra good deal. Also check the expiration dates, but this time nothing expired before fall of 2011!
Some things I got included:
  • French's Onions (the kind you use to make green bean casserole) - These were marked down to $2.14, plus I had coupons from a previous Sunday paper!
  • Decorator icing for my baby's upcoming birthday for $1.25 a tube.
  • Natures Valley Granola Nut Clusters for $1.99 (and I used the $1 coupon from coupons.com)
  • Quaker True Delight granola bars for $1.79 (again, I had a $1/2 coupon from coupons.com!)
  • Jeri's BBQ Sauce for $1.49 - I've never had this, but thought it seemed like a good deal!
  • Reynolds Oven Bags (the kind for turkeys or large hams) for $.99 for a box of 2

The following items were also marked down. These weren't in the carts, but clear in the back by the dairy section. There's a table set up off the main shopping route in a little hallway that goes into an employee only section (that sounds kinda creepy, doesn't it?):

  • Small containers of store brand baby formula for $4.99 (regularly marked $9.99) - And no, I'm not pregnant, but these don't expire till fall of 2011, so I couldn't pass it up! You don't get good deals on baby formula very often!
  • Sunscreen SPF 15 for $2.44

As I browsed the store at 10:30 at night, I also discovered they have a lot of items on close-out prices, such as L'Oreal Vive Pro Shampoo, Conditioner, and Styling Gel for $2.44 (and, you got it, I had a coupon!).

A few weeks ago I also looked in the dairy section across from the milk in one of those coolers in the middle of the aisle. There was Yoplait Fiber One Yogurt and a couple other varieties that were marked down to $0.88! I had a $1 coupon, so that was better than free yogurt!

My point is, look for these unadvertised deals. They can cut your grocery bill way down, even if you don't have any coupons to use.

Please leave a comment if you know of any other stores that have these great finds!

Next Week at Walgreens - AWESOME Diaper Deal!

KrazyCouponLady says she knows about a great deal for Huggies Diapers next week at Walgreens! As in a jumbo pack of diapers for just $4.32! I asked the store manager about it, and he said he thinks he remembers seeing it in the ad for next week. I let him know he'd better stock up! So start printing Huggies coupons from coupons.com!

Now my dilemma is to decide if I want to even get the diapers! I think my baby is about ready for potty training, and I still have several packs left from the last sale. Decisions, decisions! I can't imagine I'd let this deal slide me by, so I'll probably be there getting diapers on Monday!

First Giveaway!

UPDATE: I forgot to give an ending date for the giveaway! Please make sure all entries are made by January 31. I'll announce the winner on February 1!

In order to kick-start my new blog, I'm hosting my first giveaway ever! The winner will receive $5 off coupon any Scentsy or Cookie Lee product! I'm an independent sales consultant for both companies, so the item will need to be purchased through me. You can use the coupon any way you want, but it could man a FREE Scentsy bar or Cookie Lee bracelet!

You can get an entry by doing any of the following, and you can get multiple entries, so do as many as you can!
  • Leave a comment telling me what your favorite product is in the PepsiCo Products deal at Walgreens on the previous post.
  • Leave a comment telling me where you live in Cache Valley (Logan, Mendon, Hyde Park, etc.) and your favorite thing about living in Cache Valley (it's got to be the great air quality, right?).
  • Leave a comment about a great deal you know of (such as free storytime at the library, which restaurants give free birthday desserts, if kids get in free with adult purchase, etc.).
  • Become a follower of my blog (click on "Follow" to the right).

All comments need to be left on CashInCache blog, not on Facebook. Thank you!

Sweet Walgreens Pepsi & Tostitos Deal!

UPDATE: I found out today that Doritos are NOT a part of the Coors Light rebate, so make sure you only buy Tostitos or Tostitos Dip with your Pepsi purchase at Walgreens! Make sure you read the fine print. If you've already submitted your rebate (like I did!), they'll send you a postcard saying you didn't meet the requirements and give you instructions on how to fix it.

Wow, check out this sweet deal on Pepsi & Tostitos at Walgreens this week!
Buy $20 worth of the following PepsiCo products, get a $10 Register Reward:
  • 12 Pack of Pepsi Products (on sale for 5/$15)
  • 2 Liter Pepsi Products (on sale for 4/$5)
  • Gatorade 32 oz (on sale for 5/$5)
  • Tostitos Chips, Dip, or Salsa 9 to 15.62 oz (on sale for 2/$5)
  • Doritos 11.75 to 14.5 oz (on sale for 2/$5)
  • Stacy's Pita Chips 7.33 or 8 oz (on sale for 2/$5)
  • Lay's Chips 10.5 to 12 oz (on sale for 2/$5)
  • Fritos Dip 15 oz (on sale for 2/$5)
I found peelies (coupons already attached to a product that peel off) on 12 packs of Pepsi products at Macey's a couple weeks ago, and had a feeling there'd be a good sale somewhere soon! So here's the deal I made:

5 12 packs of Pepsi for $15
2 bags of Doritos for $5
Used 2 $1/2 Pepsi coupons
Out of pocket total (including tax) was $18.60
Then a Register Reward printed for $10! For those of you who don't know what a Register Reward is, it's a coupon good for nearly ANYTHING in Walgreens! You can use it on milk, eggs, bread, a toy for the kids, paper for printing coupons... Pretty much anything!

Then when you get home, fill out this Coors Lite Rebate (no beer purchase required in Utah) for $7.50! This rebate form is a pdf that is 4 pages long with 4 different rebates. Just print the rebate for $7.50.

So the total cost for 5 12 packs of Pepsi and 2 bags of Doritos ends up being only $1.10! Even if you can't find the $1/2 Pepsi coupons, you can still get this deal for just $3.10. That's less than 1 12 pack of Pepsi is normally!

There is a $0.55 off coupon when you purchase one bag of Tostitos and one Tostitos Dip from last Sunday's newspaper, but currently Walgreens is sold out of Tostitos. They told me they'd be restocking their shelves on Thursday, so you could get a little bit better of a deal!

For more Walgreens deals this week, check out Hip2Save. Just a heads up, the Wet Ones deal is not available at our Walgreens. Also, keep in mind that if you do the Revlon deal, you only get a $5 coupon good towards any Revlon product, not a regular Register Reward.

Pinching Your Pennies & Grocery Smarts

PinchingYourPennies and GrocerySmarts are two great, local resources for finding good deals in Utah. GrocerySmarts also has printable grocery lists, and matches them to many printable coupons and coupons found in newspapers, although I've noticed they do miss a few that Hip2Save and KrazyCouponLady find. To view the printable grocery lists in Grocery Smarts, use this link.

Too Many Deals!

So there are just way too many deals out there for one gal to keep up with! I don't know how Hip2Save and KrazyCouponLady do it!

That's why I need your help! If you love to find great deals and want to help with this blog, please email me at cashincache@gmail.com!

Macey's Deals: Week of January 13

KrazyCouponLady also has price match-ups for Maceys!

Western Family Yogurt is just $0.25 each. Combine that with the $0.75 off 4 coupon from coupons.com, and you got yourself 4 yogurts for a total of $0.25! That's just a little over $0.06 each! WOW! I'd say find as many printers as you can and print as many coupons as you can! A friend recently told me you can freeze yogurt! This is DEFINITELY a stock-up price!

If you prefer name-brand yogurts, Yoplait 4 packs are also on sale for $1.50 and there are printable coupons for $1.00 off, making them just $0.50 each!

My favorite deal from the case lot sale was the Western Family Diced Tomatoes. A case of 24 is $11.52, or $0.48 a can.

Deals at Smith's: Week of January 13

KrazyCouponLady does a great job of matching coupons at Smiths. Check out her post for this week! The title of her post says week of 12/13, but it is actually for this week!

My FAVORITE deal is the Hunt's Pasta Sauce: a case of 12 for $9.39! That's only $0.79 a can! I don't know about you, but my family uses a lot of pasta sauce! Plus, you can sweeten this deal even further by playing this Recession Payback game to get printable coupons! I had enough coupons the other day that I -was able to get 2 cases for $10.78, only $0.45 a can!

You can also do the Recession Payback to get printable coupons for Manwich, which are on sale for 10/$10. The coupons are for $1/3, making them just $0.67 a can!

Another awesome deal is the Danon Yogurt. If you have coupons from the 1/10 or 12/6 Sunday papers, you can get the 4 or 6 packs of yogurt for just $0.88!

You can also get Pillsbury Crescent Rolls for less just $0.50 with printable coupons!

Also be sure to read KrazyCouponLady's post about current catalina's at Smith's.

New Redbox Code!

I heard there is a new Redbox code for a free 1 night movie rental! Try "HIGHFIVE" and see if it works for you!

Papa Murphys $10 Any Size, Any Pizza

Papa Murphys is having a sale! ALL of their pizzas are only $10! This can't be combined with any other offer, so you can't use any other coupons with the deal. But $10 for a family size Chicago Stuffed Pizza is AWESOME!

My Fave Walgreens Deals this Week!

My dad is a pharmacist who owns his own drug store, so I never thought I would shop at a place like Walgreens. But Walgreens is now one of my favorite stores in Cache Valley! Not just for medicine, bandaids, and things like that, but for groceries! Last week their milk was only $1.99 a gallon - the cheapest in the valley! A couple weeks ago, I got FREE, yes FREE boxes of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Honey Nut Cheerios!
How? By stacking coupons and sales and earning Register Rewards! Hip2Save explains it well here.

On my blog, I'll show you where to go to find the great Walgreens deals, and post my favorite here. We also get a shorter sales ad than other locations, so I'll let you know what deals won't work for us that others might be posting.

So what's my favorite deal this week? Believe it or not, I actually MADE money on this deal. Johnson & Johnson is having a $10 rebate when you buy $30 of product. See their rebate form at http://www.coupons.com/.

Our store is doing the Buy 1 Get 1 50% off sale (not B1G1 Free, as many stores are doing), so I purchased 2 Aveeno Oatmeal Body Washes (on the back wall), 2 Aveeno face products (make up remover pads and a cleanser), and 2 Clean & Clear cleansers. I had $2 off coupons for all of these, which can also be found at http://www.coupons.com/, or from your Sunday paper last week. Once I get the $10 rebate back, I'll have made $2!

You can read more about the great deals people are getting at Hip2Save! (Caution: It didn't appear to me at the Aveeno Nourish Hair Care Products were part of the B1G1 50% off deal).
Another hot deal is $0.25 toothpaste! Even if you don't get the All You Magazine that had the $1.00 off coupon, you can still use the $0.75 off printable coupon that Hip2Save talks about in her Weekly Walgreens Update.
While you're checking out the toothpaste deal, also see you you can MAKE $1.00 by purchasing ThermaCare Heatwraps and MAKE ANOTHER $1.00 by purchasing Neosporin Lip Health! You can do both these deals with printable coupons.
You can also get a canister of Quaker Quick 1 Minute Oats for $0.50 as explained by Hip2Save here.
ITEMS NOT AVAILABLE AT OUR WALGREENS:
Unfortunately, the Betty Crocker Warm Delights and Betty Crocker Frosting is not on the $0.99 sale. So you can't get them for $0.50 at this time.

Cash in Cache

So I've decided to start another blog, in addition to the one about my marathon training and my personal, private blog devoted to my family (if you'd like to read this one, please email me your address; only good friends and family will be granted access).

Why? Because I've entered the world of coupon clipping and saving BIG money. I want to help other Cache Valley locals find financial freedom by saving money on groceries and household items, clothes, and basically just about everything!

This will require a collaboration of efforts, so I'm asking for your help!

I'm still a fairly newbie on this, but I'm quickly becoming an expert on shopping at Walgreens, Smiths, and Maceys. I'm not just talking about your everyday grocery shopping where you spend way more money than you planned, since you were just headed to the store for a gallon of milk and loaf of bread. I'm talking about how you can change your shopping experience to put YOU in control, and how you can save 70% or more EACH TIME you go to the grocery store!

"What will this cost me?" you might ask. Well, so far all it's cost me is a lot of time and energy and paper for printing coupons.

It won't cost you anything, unless you decide to get a newspaper subscription (highly recommended, but not required), and the paper to print coupons. I'll just be teaching you how to use coupons and sales to maximize your savings and minimize your spending.

What I need help with is finding other great deals in Cache Valley! I can find the grocery store deals, and even big chain store deals (like if Old Navy or JC Penny is having a sale, you can find out about it here). But what about those other things? If you hear about a sale or special on the radio or read about it in the newspaper, please let me know so I can post about it hear! I'm thinkng of things like a free or discounted skating night at the Eccles Ice Center, or maybe a contest for tickets to a USU basketball game. Email the deals you hear about to me at cashincache@gmail.com.

So say you're a business owner, or someone who's trying to earn extra cash. Maybe you play guitar, so you want to start giving guitar lessons during your spare time. Offer a few free lessons as a giveaway on my blog as free advertising for yourself! This is an example. Get creative!

I also need a couple savvy savers to help me manage this blog. I am the mother of two little girls who are demanding on my time. As I already mentioned, I'm training for a marathon, so I have to spend a lot of time running. Also, I'm going to work for Jackson Hewitt as a tax preparer through April 15 in the evenings and on Saturday. Plus I'm the Primary president in my ward! So I'm busy, and my time is limited. I promise to give you my all, but I am very interested in finding a couple of others who are already saving Cash in Cache who can assist with this blog. Email me at cashincache@gmail.com

To get you started on coupon clipping and how to save with coupons, I highly recommend you do what I did. Check out these three sites: www.thekrazycouponlady.com, www.hip2save.com, www.pinchingyourpennies.com. Study their Couponing 101 sections.

If I just gave you these three great websites, why do you need my blog? Well, I'm hoping to make it easier for you. These websites post so many great deals, including Target, Harmons, Winco, Safeway, and many other grocery stores that we don't have here in Cache Valley. Plus, we have many awesome stores in Cache Valley that they don't have, and hence don't post their deals! I'm going to do what I can to collaborate with local business owners to get them to send me their great deals.

So here's my blog! All you need to saving Cash in Cache.
